About SISF
State Industrial Security Force (SISF) started functioning since 29-12-2011 for providing sufficient security coverage to vital institutions under both Public and Private Sectors, like Dams, power plants, Banks etc on payment basis. This unit is functioning under the direct control of State Police Chief. SISF Head Quarters is at Peroorkada, Near Special Armed Police Campus.
Guard Taking Procedure
All guard postings are made based on the requirements projected by the institutions concerned through the MOU,there is no other administrative procedures are to be adopted. If an institution has signed the MOU, Commandant SISF should forward a proposal immediately to the state police chief, directly for the issuance of the posting orders so as to its smooth and speedy function.The posting/Withdrawal of SISF guard has to be made strictly adhering to the time limit as financial implication is involved.
Selection of Police Personnel
All posting are made on deputation basis, from the Police Department (Armed Police Battalion/District Armed Reserve). Necessary willingness are to be collected from Police Department. The Commandant, SISF should maintain a register for keeping all willingness application and personnel are to be selected on application date seniority. Before proposing the name of each personnel for posting, their ability/suitability/choice is to be ascertained by the commandant, SISF.
Deployment Charges
Bills on account of deployment charges will be prepared by the Commandant, SISF for every month by the 5th of subsequent month and the Client Organization is liable to make payment within 10 days from date of receipt of the bill. In case of default payments over a period of 2 months, the Commandant, SISF should issue a formal notice to the authorized signatory of the Client Organization for withdrawal of the Guard. The cost of Guard personnel/Officers have to be charged according to the rate fixed by the Government.
Handling Emergency Situations
In case of emergency situation arises in the guard point due to the intrusion of antisocial/ extremist organizations the guard personnel will seek assistance immediately from the nearest Police station/Police Control Room. And the situation immediately reported to the Concerned Bank/ Institution's Head, Chief Security Officer and Commandant SISF. If additional guard strength is required to an Institution , they can place a request before Commandant to allow it on payment basis.

Important Notice
As per the GO (MS) 47/2013/Home dtd. 22/02/2013, Govt. have directed all vital institutions in Govt. and public sector undertakings to make use of the personnel of the SISF for providing security in place of private guards.
